I am suffering from a case of the Mondays. This morning I woke up fighting every urge I had to stay in bed. I hit the snooze button twice, before eventually giving in to resetting my alarm clock so I could have another hour of uninterrupted sleep. It’s always hard to return to work after a holiday and having several days off. The only cure I could think of was to write about my end of the weekend blues.
I’m going to try to hold on to the spirit of Thanksgiving in hopes it will help me maintain a positive disposition until Christmas. I really do love this time of the year. Mostly because of the traditions that my family have created over the years. What are those traditions? Why I’m so glad you asked lol. We always have a holiday movie we see as a family. This Thanksgiving it was Twilight. Man was it hard to wait a whole week to see it, but it was well worth the wait. And for Christmas, it’s a tossup between Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol, and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
Another tradition we have during the holidays is gathering with family and friends on Christmas Eve for dinner and a game night. It’s always a great way to kick off the holiday, and it’s something that everyone looks forward to each and every year. And even as I type this, I feel gloominess leaving my body and being replaced with anticipation for another great holiday. So with that being said, I think I can bring this to a close. Thanks for letting me share, and I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the day.
