“Courage brings change. But with fear, things stay the same.”- Melvin Davis
A few weeks ago, I wrote an article about my motto for 2012, which is, See it, Believe it, and Achieve it. in the article I discussed the vision board that I am currently working on and laying out a design for my future. Something that I plan on working on all year long, is writing without fear. In order to achieve and accomplish the things that God has placed within my heart, I have to approach my writing in a way I haven’t done before.
I have made it known to anyone who has asked about the plans for my writing or that has read my blog that I hope to one day write become a screenwriter. And recently God has presented me with an opportunity that WILL place me one step closer to seeing that come true, and for that I am grateful. I’ve also been thinking about turning a couple of my short stories into plays. I’m even thinking that I may actually want to become a producer one day. But all of none of these things will happen if I don’t continue to push the envelope with my writing or take chances when opportunities are presented to me. So I vow to be courageous, because God did not give us the spirit of fear. He’s shown me glimpses of what he has in store for me, and everything I do from this point on I know and believe is preparation to get me to where he wants me to be.
Courage brings change, which means we will all have to push aside our fears in order to experience life to the fullest. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, while expecting different results. In other words, if you want something you’ve never had before, you have to do something different to get it. There can be no progress without change. So stop living your life in fear. Live boldly, and watch how things fall into place.
As always, this is from my heart to yours,
